Arnie Silverman
Founder, President & CEO
In 1995, Arnie Silverman founded Silverman Construction Program Management (SCPM) to provide owner’s representative and construction program management services to non-profits and community-minded organizations. Deploying his decades of professional experience in planning and managing commercial construction programs to benefit these groups, he built Silverman CPM into one of Atlanta’s most well-respected firms.
For the past 20 years, Arnie’s expertise has played a role in delivering some of Atlanta’s most important landmarks, from the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Piedmont Park, to Ponce City Market and the Atlanta Streetcar. His work has taken him from assisting Habitat for Humanity with the construction of its new headquarters, to supporting the monks at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in the development of a new visitors center.
Arnie’s mark on the Atlanta region can be seen through the wide variety of charitable and civic leadership positions he has held, including Chair of the DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce, Chair of Leadership DeKalb, and serving on the City of Atlanta Parks Board and the MARTA board. In 2006, the Metropolitan Atlanta Chamber of Commerce selected Arnie as the 2006 Small Business Person of the Year.
Arnie currently serves on the board of the Council for Quality Growth and is past President of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia. His numerous community activities have included positions on the Boards of the Paideia School (where he served as Chairman of the Building Committee), GlenCastle Constructors (where he was a founding board member), Park Pride (Finance Committee), Piedmont Park Conservancy, the Monastery Board of Visitors, and the Carter Center Board of Councilors, among others.
