Silverman CPM & Ponce City Market honored with CMAA National Project Achievement Award
Silverman CPM, a leader in Construction Program Management in Georgia, was recognized for their outstanding work with a Project Achievement Award from the National Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). On Tuesday, October 11th, 2016, Silverman CPM was awarded in the category of “Program Management: Buildings” for the transformational Ponce City Market project in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ponce City Market (PCM) is a 2 million square foot, mixed use historic adaption and renovation of the iconic Sears Roebuck & Company distribution center, located in Midtown Atlanta. This project includes over 500,000 square feet each of office and retail space, 269 residential units, and over 2,400 parking spaces. The project included historic adaption and renovation of structures originally built in 1926, 1929, 1946, 1966 and 1969, as well new construction. Ponce City Market features an activated rooftop with games and rides (including a 30’ slide), a link to Atlanta’s BeltLine, an outdoor area at the historic train trestle and a green roof.
“We are proud of our work with Jamestown and Ponce City Market. It is an honor to have been recognized on a national level for the accomplishments of our project management team, owners, architects, and subcontractors. This project exemplifies what can be accomplished when talented teams skillfully collaborate,” said Arnie Silverman, President of Silverman CPM.
The annual CMAA Project Achievement Awards program recognizes outstanding achievement in the practice of construction management while promoting professionalism and excellence in the management of the construction process. Awards are given to construction management practitioners for projects and programs that reflect this mission.
Earlier this summer, Silverman CPM was honored with two First Place Project Achievement awards from the CMAA South Atlantic Chapter for their Program Management and Renovation of Ponce City Market.
