The Children’s Museum of Atlanta

Building a 30,000 sq. foot museum in a condo space required unusual skills. But in this case, Silverman CPM was able to guide its client, The Children’s Museum of Atlanta, through a complex, but highly successful process. In fact, after 10 years, the museum requested Silverman CPM to return to manage a major renovation of this space. In both instances, the work on the museum facilities was done in collaboration with the Homeowner’s Association for the condominium tower.

The recent renovation work included adding an entire second floor to add additional space to serve the kids of Atlanta. The construction also included a new entrance sign and sculpture out front. The project was very challenging as to limit the Museum’s closure time and before the holidays. We were able to complete all demolition and new construction work in only a few short months. After the new exhibits were installed, the Museum was ready to be open to the public in time for the holidays.
