Schenck School Expansion

The Schenck School hired Silverman CPM to work with them during the master planning process for expansion on their existing campus. In order to meet the needs of the expanding program, the school had to renovate existing facilities and construct new buildings to provide additional classrooms, as well as physical therapy and special program spaces. Located in a residential neighborhood, community outreach and extensive communications with the neighbors throughout the project was critical.

Silverman’s work included zoning approvals, design and value engineering management, team selection and contract negotiation, contracts administration, construction management, and occupancy oversight. The project was unique due to the schedule requirements of the school year, with the new construction occurring while school was ongoing, followed by intense renovation during the summer break. The entire project was completed on time and on budget, with the quality that the client required.
