New Building Selection and Construction
Silverman CPM was contacted by Genesis Shelter when they learned that their lease would not be renewed on their current facility. Silverman worked with the board and staff of Genesis to locate a building they could purchase, oversaw the due diligence work and preliminary planning and budgeting, and then guided the project successfully through a very difficult zoning process. Silverman then managed construction and occupancy of the facility.
The expanded shelter for homeless newborns and their families is now a valuable asset to the community. The building includes a Child Development Center and a playground to accommodate the participants in this program.
