Lou Walker Senior Center
Silverman CPM was hired by the DeKalb County Development Authority during the design phase of this project. This 39,000 sq. ft. building accommodates approximately 500 seniors and staff. The facility includes an indoor therapeutic pool, commercial kitchen, 236-seat dining hall, activity rooms, a social lounge, resource library, outdoor garden, and offices for DeKalb for Seniors, Inc. and the DeKalb Human and Community Development Department. Silverman’s scope of services during the design phase consisted of review of design documents, budgeting and schedule responsibility, bid coordination, and management of value engineering.
