The Monastery of the Holy Spirit engaged Silverman CPM to implement the first phase of many improvements per their master plan. This initial phase consisted of the renovation of existing barns and the construction of new buildings to house their new public Monastic gathering spaces. A new visitor center was incorporated that not only told the story of the Monastic life in general but also the Monastic life at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit. The visitor center includes interactive displays, video presentations, displays of artifacts and a photographic history of the Monastery. A gift shop and book store with a café serving products made by the community was also constructed as well as a new greenhouse and sales area to replace the existing bonsai growing, sales and mail order shipping area. Also included was a state of the art conference center and prayer walk gardens with donor recognition displays. Silverman CPM represented the Monastery and managed the project from the pre-design phase through post construction.
