First Presbyterian Church

First Presbyterian Church occupies a historic building in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. When the Building Committee was charged with managing the renovation of both the exterior and large portions of the interior of the building, they selected Silverman Construction Program Management prior to hiring any other team members. Silverman worked with the committee to select the exterior Engineers, the interior Architect, the General Contractor and numerous other consultants needed for the project. Major challenges on this project include handling the logistics and safety issues involved with keeping the church fully functional on site while renovation is on-going for classrooms, administrative offices, choir rehearsal space and in Fifield Hall, the church’s main community room along with its kitchen.

The First Presbyterian Church was awarded the Construction Management Association of America’s Project Achievement Award in June 2010.
