This project consisted of extensive renovations to the sanctuary, social hall, kitchen and education areas as well as a new addition for administrative offices. Silverman Construction Program Management began its work with the congregation’s building committee in the middle of the design phase of the project and helped develop a strategy to bring the project into budget while at the same time retaining many of the environmentally progressive elements of the design. SCPM then oversaw the general contractor selection process and managed the construction and renovation.

Silverman began working with Temple Sinai in the masterplanning stage for this project, which included renovation on the existing 30-year old building and the addition of a classroom wing and chapel as well as extensive parking and landscaping work. SCPM’s scope of work included assistance in the zoning and permitting process, management of programming and design review, relocation assistance for the construction period, as well as oversight of the extensive construction which was completed in June 2005. The project had major site challenges and neighborhood issues, and the congregation desired amenities that outstripped the budget. Silverman worked with the designer and contractor to keep this project within budget through numerous meetings and redesign efforts.

Continuing their relationship with Beulah Baptist Church, Silverman CPM represented the Church through the new construction of their 70,000-s.f. Family Life Center. This facility containing a gymnasium with a regulation basketball court with two side courts and bleachers also functioned as an event venue with a raised stage, theatrical lighting, and full sound and video systems tied into the main sanctuary. Other functions in the building include a five lane 25-yard indoor swimming pool, aerobics room, a running track, exercise room, library, video ministry, counseling offices, youth game room, youth general purpose room with stage, two conference rooms, an arts and crafts room, and two child care rooms.
