Art Clement Interviewed on Historical Atlanta Buildings

January 18, 2018

The entire team at Silverman has a special love for old buildings. We love working on projects that preserve and renovate historical structures. Art Clement, one of our Senior Project Managers and licensed Architect, has a particular interest in the history and architecture of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Art was recently interviewed by Maggie Lee of the Saporta Report for an article on the age of Atlanta and historic buildings to visit. The article includes a map of Atlanta construction beginning with pre-1900s buildings. Atlanta University Center, which houses Spelman, Morehouse, Clark Atlanta University, and the Interdenominational Theological Center, is also home to some of Atlanta’s oldest buildings dating back as far as 1869.

Learn more about Atlanta’s history and check out the Age of Atlanta map on the Saporta Report website.
